Hörmann Rollmatic T, Appleton, Warrington

We cover a wide area in the North West and this was a recent installation we did in the lovely area of Appleton in Warrington. The type of door chosen by the customer, is a pair of fully automatic Hörmann Rollmatic T roller doors.

The old doors had become awkward to use and these new roller doors look nice with the brickwork garage and are much easier to operate. As usual, we start by removing the old doors and their timber frames, we can the clean up the brickwork openings ready to install the new doors. Roller doors come in their own frames made from sturdy aluminium. The framework is installed first, then the door curtain can be added and the control box wired in. We always do our best to keep our installations neat and tidy.

Hörmann Rollmatic T roller doors have many benefits, they are operated at the simple touch of a button courtesy of the two remotes provided as standard. The doors are fully insulated and will help if the door leads into the house or there are rooms above etc. Security is also very good on these doors. There is an in built safety system should the door come into contact with an obstacle, it will stop and reverse.

On this job to finish it off nicely, we lined the brickwork opening with matching black uPVC. We find when we remove old door that the brickwork can be a bit unsightly. So this creates a nice boxed in look. We then carefully seal up the uPVC etc. We always leave our installations nice and tidy too. We pride ourselves on our work and think our customers should enjoy their new doors without worrying about tidying up.

CarTeck, Georgian automatic sectional door, Warrington.

This double sized CarTeck garage door was fitted for a customer in Warrington, an area in which we have many satisfied customers. The door was chosen in white to match the features of the house, windows were added as feature, which helps to break up the large area of the door and also add character. The windows are frosted and double glazed.

Our first job on arrival to fit the door, was to remove the old door. Which was a manual one piece up-and-over door. This customer will be relieved that they no longer have to manually open and close a big heavy door, they can now simply press a button on a remote control.

After removing the old door and frame, we cleaned up the brickwork opening and fitted a timber sub-frame as a solid fixing point for the new door. We are always careful when fitting timbers that they don’t touch the floor for instance, this is to avoid the wooden legs rotting at the bottom. When the new door is fitted, the timber frame is clad with uPCV fascias and trims and then sealed up to protect and insulate the installation.

There are many benefits to a CarTeck sectional door. Insulation is improved as the door themselves are insulated as well as having a seal that contacts with the floor. No gap is required under the door unlike a conventional up-and-over door. Security is also very strong feature.
