SWS roller door, Denton
This fully automatic roller door was fitted with the usual care and attention by Phil and Dan for Phils neighbour. Thanks to Phils cat for keeping a watchful eye on things too!
As you can see from the “before” photo, the previous garage door had been in some years and had served its time. The customer wanted a nice new automatic roller door to make things much easier. With more customers using electric charging points for cars, we are finding people are welcoming the ease of access an automatic door gives for this purpose too.
Chosen in anthracite grey, it compliments the lighter brickwork nicely and has a range of benifits including being simple to use by just pressing a button on one of the two remotes supplied with each door, the doors are fully insulated, which is good if the garage leads into the house, the doors have good security and an integral alarm if the door is tampered with.
All automatic doors we fit have safety systems that wont allow the door to crush anything for instance. If the door comes into contact with an obstacle it will stop and reverse. It’s important to maintain and check such systems and we offer our customers an affordable yearly garage door service that checks and cleans all components, lubrication, keeps springs balanced correctly etc and a thorough clean of the door. It will keep your door just like new for years to come.
You can see in the pictures how when we sometimes remove the old door and frame, it can leave the brickwork looking messy. We clean this up where we can and then neatly use uPVC flatboard to encase the installation in matching trims. All the old materials and old door are removed from site and recycled where possible.
The door also has an internal Somfy control box that you can use to operate the door. It has a handy light that comes on when the door is in use and stays on for a couple of minutes to provide light to the garage. As you can see, our wiring and installations are always nice and neat. We also supplied the customer with an internal push button which a lot of people find very handy to have in the house too.
The cute cat does not come with the door by the way, hehe
