SWS roller door. Romiley, Stockport.

The team at Pennine Garage Doors installed this neat looking SWS automatic roller door on a lovely house in Romiley. The door size is quite large and the old door required replacing.

We were faced with another challenge that we see with garages on this installation. Which is the floor is sloping and is very out of level. With a roller door sealing to the floor, this can be an issue. Normally it isn't much of a problem, but here we had two options. Either have the floor levelled, which was unpractical due to the slope of the driveway, or we can order the roller door with a scribed in bottom lath.

You can see this on the photos too. With careful measuring, the door is made to a custom spec and allows it to seal nicely to the floor. The roofline above the garage is also sloping slightly and we installed a new fascia to go above the garage door, running level with the door.

This new SWS automatic door is very easy to use and comes with two remotes as standard. We can also install a push button inside your home if you require one. We find customers like this option with our roller doors. The door has safety features that won't allow the door to crush anything, it also has an integral alarm which never needs setting and will detect any forcing of the door.

Roller doors are becoming more popular with customers as a nice addition to a home. They are insulated and do not require gaps around the door like an up-and-over door does.
