Select side hinge doors, Neston, Wirral

Recently installed for a customer in Neston, a nice pair of side hinge doors made by Select and chosen in a nice blue to add a splash of colour to the house.

Before we had the option of up-and-over doors and newer automatic doors, most garage doors were timber side hinge doors. Things have come a long way since then and although we can still supply quality timber doors (which are actually more expensive), these modern side hinge doors are made of steel. They are built with an integral steel frame, which means that the whole installation is one well built component. Requiring minimum gaps unlike timber doors and featuring highly secure locking systems.

No more rotting timber frame legs or doors and no more painting required. These Select side hinge doors are polpular with customers who just need a side door for access, with the option to open both doors if needed, another reason is they might not have the room inside the garage for any type of door that goes back into the garage.

This door was chosen with an off-centre split of the doors, with the smaller door on the left. Once that door is open, the other larger door can be opened. You can also order the door with the small door on either side, or have two even door sizes split in the middle.

We install door-stays that will keep the doors open when in use. There is a very secure multi point locking mechanism on the door for peace of mind too. As usual with all our installations, great care is taken from removing your old door and frame, to installing the new one nice and level and looking good to the eye. We finish off any gaps around the door in matching uPVC trims and seal up to the brickwork in quality sealants.
