Hörmann vertical ribbed door, Tintwistle, Derbyshire.

We installed this Hörmann garage door in the lovely scenic area of Tintwistle near Glossop. The customer wanted the door to match a specific colour that had been used on their home.

Due to the nature of the colour, we had a standard white door sprayed by a specialist to match the exact shade of green. It's a colour similar to "heritage green" and as you can tell, the paint job is superb. It is not very often we have to get a door sprayed ourselves, but we trust the company we use to do a really nice job.

We had the uPVC trims sprayed to match the door too. Due to the difference in materials of the door and trims, paint was mixed match both perfectly. The customer was left with spare trims, should they need to be ever replaced due to damage, and also spare touch-up paint.

The door is a manual up-and-over garage door, which we setup to operate with ease. These Hörmann doors are secure and built to last. We also offer a service plan to help maintain any of the doors we install.

Recently fitted for a customer in Tameside, this blue Hörmann canopy door looks quite striking and adds a nice splash of colour to this home.

Garage doors come in a range of finishes and colours to suit any house or home. The customer had decided to replace their old door, which was also blue and we finished the look off by framing it in white uPVC to fit in with the look of the house.

Hörmann canopy doors are made of steel and come in their own steel frames. This means that security is much better than old doors that are fitted into timber frames. The finish on the doors is powder coated, very durable and UV stable in the sunlight. We removed the old timber frame from this job, so now there is no painting needed. This new door is simple to maintain with a wipe over every now and then.

The door is also easy to operate. We set up every door we install to operate smoothly and efficiently, whether the door is manually operated or automatic, we install our products with safety in mind and ease of use, as well as making sure it looks fantastic!

Hörmann Finesse garage door, Failsworth

This Finesse style garage door was fitted for a customer in Failsworth after previously completing a job for their next door neighbor (to the left). The customer decided to have a new door and to have all new uPVC fascias and trims to run through with the neighbor.

The door was installed slightly off centre due to obstacles inside the garage that would effect the door opening, we see this with gas meters and various pipes etc. So the door was fitted slightly to one side. Doing the job this way also meant we could keep the door to a standard size, which also keeps the price of the job down. The infill on the right of the door consists of a sturdy timber studding and was then clad with matching uPVC.

We removed all of the old timber subframe and as usual, we take the old door etc off site to be recycled. The new Hörmann door is much easier to use and provides much better security that the old door and the "Finesse" style of the door looks nice and modern.

Hormann manual sectional door, Millbrook

A recently installed Hormann, manually operated sectional door for a nice customer in Millbrook, Stalybridge. Ordered in a white, silk-grain finish, which as you can see from the close-up images, has a very smooth contemporary look to it.

A sectional door was chosen to help with issues such as insulation, due to the garage leading to the house. Unlike the old up-and-over door that we replaced, this new Hormann sectional door is well insulated and due to opening vertically, it has a rubber seal on the bottom of the door that contacts with the floor and creates a barrier there. Sectional doors do not require the tolerance gaps that a classic up-and-over does and this is ideal if you don't want any gaps in your garage opening.

Although the door was fitted to be operated manually, the customer has the option to add a automation system to the door in the future if required. The manual locking system is secure and easy to operate. As always, we remind customers that to keep these doors in good working order, to keep up with regular simple lubrication maintenance. We can also offer a service plan if you would like us to maintain your door on an annual basis.

Hormann rosewood doors, Mottram

Hormann vertical style doors in rosewood, Mottram

This pair of Hormann canopy doors were fitted for a customer in Mottram in Longdendale, just near Glossop. They are both manual doors and were chosen in a modern vertical panel design in a rosewood finish, to match other features on the house.

As usual, we removed the old garage doors and frames first, which we will always remove off site. We like to leave you with a neat job and no mess lying around. After cleaning up the brickwork opening of old sealants and paint, we could then start fitting the new doors.

The new Hormann doors come in their own steel frames, which is good for security, as there are no gaps that can be tampered with, which is something that can be an issue with old doors in wooden frames. The locking on Hormann canopy doors is strong and can also be upgraded to a 4-point locking system for a small cost. Other upgrades are available too such as insulation packs that fit on the back of the door and will help to keep your home warm if the garage leads into the house.

We finished these doors off with matching uPVC trims and sealed up in a rosewood sealant to match. We set the spring tension on both doors so that they operated with ease. As you can see from any of our pictures, the job was left nice and tidy. Other than your nice new doors, you wouldn't know we've been! 🙂
