Pennine Garage Doors cover a large area in the North West, this job involved a trip to the seaside and the lovely area of Heswall. We had a nice sunny day and some stunning views looking over towards N.Wales.

We replaced the old garage door that had seen better days with a nice new Hormann Marquess style door, which suits the property well and is much easier to use. Hormann doors are very secure and long lasting. You can also add extras to your door, such as an insulation pack that fits on the rear of the door, or extra locking bars, either of which can be added to your door at a later date if required.

You might also notice from our "recent work" photographs just how tidy we like to leave our jobs. We know it is annoying to have to tidy up after having any work done, so we respect any property like we would our own.

Horman garage door, fascias & gutters

New garage door, fascias and gutters.

We recently fitted this white Hormann vertical ribbed door as well as fascias and gutters, to replace a door that had been exposed to the sun and rain due to being south facing. This new garage door has a powder coated paint finish that is UV stable and will stay nice and white.

The old door was removed, as well as the timber frame. The job also involved installing new upvc fascias on the front, rear and one side of the garage (the left side of the garage already had a new fascia).

When the new fascia board was in place, we fitted the garage door and installed the new gutters, we also tested they drained properly. Various jointing trims were added and the job sealed up neatly. We even fixed the customers wonky gate handle!

This garage is now a lot easier to maintain. No more painting and leaking gutters. Simply wiping the surfaces with soapy water will keep everything looking brand new. The vertical ribs on the door also help the weather to run down the door and not settle.

Garage renovation, Denton, Manchester

This garage renovation was completed over two days for a customer in Denton, Tameside, Manchester. We specialise in all aspects of garage renovations, including garage doors, personel doors, windows, fascias and roofs.

We started by removing the old garage door and wooden fascias and removed most of the rear of the garage such as the old window and double doors.

We installed new timber around the roofline as a solid backing for the new fascia board and started to build everything back up again. A new window was installed at the rear of the garage as well as a personel door.

To fill the space left by the old double doors we built a solid timber studding and clad the front with upvc, on the reverse side we attached plywood to give it more structure and then clad that in upvc too. New white fascia board was installed onto the new roofline timbers and new gutters installed an the rear where the roof drains.

A new Hormann garage door was installed and the whole job finished off neatly with various jointing trims and sealants.

Hormann sandgrain sectional doors, Prestbury

The project involved Pennine Garage Doors fitting four Hormann sandgrain, sectional doors into four seperate garages on this building site in the lovely area of Prestbury. All doors match the same colour grey as the windows, doors and other features on the houses. The job was completed over four days and we had some harsh weather to contend with, including Storm Doris. That didn't stop us from completing the job to our usual high standards though.

Fitting a sectional door starts with assembling and fixing the framework into place, taking care that the frame is "level" and "plumb" so that the door will operate as it should.

We then build up the sectional door panels, fitting rollers and hinges as each one is loaded into place. Rollers are adjusted accordingly for a smooth door operation.

When all of the panels are in place, the door has it's springs connected and locking system or automation system fitted. All four of these doors were fitted with the Hormann manual locking system.

Once complete, any finishing touches like matching UPVC trims are fitted and a complete check of all fixings is carried out.

Hormann silkgrain sectional, Mobberley

This project in Mobberley, Cheshire involved fitting this Hormann LPU, L-rib garage door in a gorgeous silkgrain finish. Silkgrain has a subtle satin finish to it and these doors always look nice when fitted (by us obviously). It is automated using the Horman Supramatic operating system and finished off with matching white upvc trims to give the brickwork a nice neat edge.

The customer also chose to have an easy access bell-push button fitted inside the garage and a secure fingerprint scanner for easy access on the outside. We offer a wide range of handy garage door add-ons and can fit them as optional extras when we fit your door.
