Hormann red garage door, New Mills, Derbyshire.

This Hormann vertical ribbed style door was fitted for a customer in New Mills. It is a custom RAL colour, in a red that matches the front door of the house.

As always, we removed the old door and took it away with us to be recycled too. The new Hormann door comes in its own steel frame, which we clad in white uPVC to give a nice contrast and to also match the colours of the front door.

Breaking colours up between a garage door and frame is something to sometimes consider with coloured doors. We are always happy to advise customers on such decisions based on our years of experience. Hormann Marquess doors. Hyde, Tameside

Hormann Marquess, rosewood garage doors. Hyde.

Pennine recently installed these elegant Hormann garage doors for a customer in Hyde, Tameside. They were ordered in a Marques style and with a rosewood finish to match other features on the house. We think these doors look stunning on this stone built house.

We started the job by removing the old pair of doors, we then proceded to dismantle and remove the old frames from the stonework openings. Old timber frames are often fixed well and will sometimes leave old paint etc on the stonework. After cleaning up the openings of old sealants and nails (work in progress shown in pic), we then fit the new door in such a way that any old staining left on the brickwork is not seen.

Hormann garage doors come as a complete unit in their own steel frame, we are careful when fitting them that the correct tolerances are set such as spacing and spring tension, so that the door is properly balanced and easy to use. Garage doors can be unsafe if fitted incorrectly, we take great care and pride in our installations, so they not only look nice but so they are safe too.

We finished the job off with matching rosewood uPVC fascias and trims on the frame legs, then sealed the job in a rosewood colour sealant. As always, the job was left nice and tidy.

Two Hormann Ilkley style doors, Heaton Moor

It's always nice when neighbors get on well! We recently installed these Hormann garage doors after two customers in Heaton Moor both decided to replace their garage doors at the same time, with matching styles.

After our initial consultations and survey with the customers, the Horman Ilkley style door was chosen, which is a classic design featuring windows that let light into the garage and also add a nice feature.

We installed both doors on the same day and started by taking out the old doors, frames and surrounding cladding, which we always remove from site. After cleaning up the brickwork opening, we could then carefully install both doors, set up the spring tension and finish off the outside with matching uPVC trims around the frame. The whole job is then sealed up neatly around the edges with a suitable colour of sealant.

Hormann Georgian garage door, Dukinfield

We recently fitted this classic Georgian style door for a customer in our local area of Dukinfield. The door was ordered to match a new black front door that had been installed.

As you can see from the "before" picture, we removed the old garage door and all of the timber frame and fascia, so we were left with just the brick opening. The new Hormann door comes in its own steel frame, after installing the door, we finished the job off with a white uPVC fascia and legs, which frames the garage door in the same style as the front door.

As with all jobs, we set up the spring tension of the door to work at maximum efficiency and ease of use. The old door and timber were removed from site and the whole job left neat and tidy. The customer was very happy with the job and how it had completed the new look of their home.

Personnel door, window and garage door, Wirral

New window, personnel door and garage door, Wirral.

This project in the Pensby area of the Wirral involved us fitting this new white Hormann, Georgian garage door, as well as replacing the old timber side entrance door and window.

The old garage door had become awkward for the customer to use, so this new Hormann door will make things much easier, we always balance our doors so that they operate with maximum efficiency. Some simple regular maintenence such as lubricating specific parts of the door will help to keep your door in sound working order. We always inform our customers how to carry this out, or we offer a service plan if you would prefer us to service your door at intervals to suit you and your door.

We also fitted a new upvc personnel door and window to the garage, this involved propping up the internal roof joists so that we could renew the wooden lintel above the door and window, allowing good support for the roof above the new installation.

As usual we remove all old materials from site including your old garage door. We always respect the property we work on and believe every job should be left nice and tidy.

The personnel door features an "anti-snap" lock that is very secure and tamper proof. We recommend these locks as they are much more secure than a standard lock barrel. The door and window have frosted glass, although other options are available. We can supply many types of window and doors, from heavy duty RockDoors to more affordable but still secure uPVC doors.
