Hörmann Finesse style garage door, Glossop
Recently installed by our team for a customer in Glossop, Derbyshire. This Hörmann garage door has given the house a fresh modern look. The style of door is known as the “Finesse”, it is a manual canopy door chosen in white with matching uPVC fascia and trims.
As you can see from the “old door” photograph, the previous garage door was crooked in its frame and had become awkward to use. We started by removing the old door and then the timber frame and studding above the door. We are then left with a brickwork opening that we clean up of old sealants and paint, then we can lift the new door into place. We take the time to get the door nice and central and level and then we can fix it into place.
When the door is in it’s final position, we then made a sturdy timber studding to go above the door which the new fascia board covers. You can see how we take pride with our finishing trims and sealing the job neatly to the brickwork. New Hörmann doors come in their own steel frames, so they do not require a timber subframe. Which means no more rotting timbers or painting of wood. It is also good for security because there are no gaps around the door to tamper with.
Security is very good on these doors, the doors come as standard with two sturdy latch points, another two latches can be added as extra. The finish on the doors is very tough and UV stable, meaning it won’t fade in colour over the years. We offer a service plan for customers, which involves an annual service on the door and thorough clean. This helps to meet the manufacturer recommended maintenance and keeps your door working and looking like new.
Hörmann manual canopy doors come in a wide range of styles and colours to suit any home. If you would like to see more about this product, you can view the brochure here.
