Alluguard automatic roller door, Hadfield

Recently installed for a customer in one of our main areas around Glossop. This job was in Hadfield and the door was chosen in a nice duck egg blue colour. The close-up picture shown below shows the colour more accurately.

We often replace old manual doors with these great AlluGuard roller doors and often tell us it’s one of the best additions to their home. We have used AlluGuard as a trusted supplier for many years and they are a much better product than many of the cheaper you see (advertised on TV). A big benifit to these doors is they are fully insulated and this helps if the garage leads into the house, or if there are rooms above.

We remove the previous door including any timber framework, unless it is structural etc. But with a job like this, everthing is stripped down so we just have a clean brickwork opening. Which we can add the frame of the roller door and headbox. When this is level, plumb and in a nice position, it is then fixed into place with sturdy fixings. The internal control box is neatly wired in too, this sits inside your garage. It has controls to operate the door as well as the two remote fobs provided and a courtesy light that stays on when the door is operated and for a couple of minutes more.

The door curtain is added last and we also clad around the frame in suitable colour uPVC. This helps to give the door a nice finished look, it’s easy to keep clean and means theres no timber to paint. There are other features on the door such as the in built safety system that will trigger if the door comes into contact with an obstacle.

The door has a rubber seal on the bottom of the door to that will create a nice seal on a fairly level floor. If the floor is a bit rough or unlevel, we also have solutions like a rubber weather seal that sticks to the floor and creates and nice seal. Or an aluminium theshold that is bonded to the floor if the floor is out of level.
