Hörmann Rollmatic T, Stalybridge

Hörmann Rollmatic T, Stalybridgem Tameside

Recently installed on a chilly day for a customer in our local area of Stalybridge. The job was to replace two manual doors with something modern and easy to use. Simply pressing a button is now a lot easier for this customer. No more heaving a heavy door up and down or fiddling with keys in the rain.

The doors chosen are made by Hörmann and known as the Rollmatic T garage door. The doors are fully automatic and have other great benefits too such as being fully insulated, which will make a difference on a house like this where the garage is part of the house. You get two remotes as standard with each door. If you have two garage door such as this customer, we can code the remotes in so that each remote can open each door. The remotes have more than one button for this purpose. Each door also has an internal control box that can be used to operate the door, the box also has a handy light that comes on when the door is in use and stays on for a few minutes to give some light to the garage.

As usual with our installations, we carefully remove the old doors and timber frames etc. Most new types of garage doors we install come in their own frames, meaning there is no wood to keep painting etc. After removing the old doors, we can clean up the openings of any sealants or paint from the previous doors and start installing the new door frames first, then adding the curtains etc. Installations are finished off neatly on the outside with matching uPVC trims and fascias. All the old materials and doors are removed from site and recycled where possible.

Hörmann Rollmatic T garage doors are also very secure and feature a safety system that will not allow the door to crush anything, if the door comes into contact with an object, it will stop and reverse. Ourselves and manufacturers advise a yearly service on automatic doors to check such systems and give the door a thorough inspection and clean etc.
