Hörmann sectional door, Stalybridge

We recently installed this gorgeous Hörmann sectional, automatic garage door for a customer in our local area of Stalybridge. The door was chosen in a golden oak colour with a woodgrain pattern to match the doors and windows on the house.

The previous garage door that we removed was a traditional pair of side hinged doors. This new top-of-the-range door is fully automatic and is much easier to operate, at just the touch of a button and has many benefits. The door is fully insulated, meaning the house will stay warmer due to the garage having rooms adjoining it. We hear good feedback from customers when we return to service their doors that this is indeed the case regarding insulation.

The door has seals all around and comes in its own framework. The bottom of the door has a sturdy rubber seal that seals nicely to the floor. Good quality security is another feature that the Hörmann sectional has. There are no gaps to tamper with the door and they cannot be forced open. The door comes with two remote controls as standard, but extra remotes or internal push buttons are available. The operator also features an integral light which will stay on for a couple of minutes when the door is in use, to help illuminate your garage. There is an in built safety system that will stop and reverse should the door come into contact an obstacle.

As you can see from the pictures. After we removed the old door we could start to clean up the brickwork of old sealants and paint. Then we start building up the framework. The panels are added last and the front is finished off with matching uPVC trims to make the nice archway above the door and around it, then the job is neatly sealed up.
