Hörmann garage doors, Rosewood, Ashton under Lyne

Here’s a nice transformation we recently completed for a customer in Ashton under Lyne, Tameside. The old doors had become very awkward and hard to operate. These new doors will open and close effortlessly and look stunning in the modern design chosen by the customer.

The two garage doors are both manual (canopy) garage doors, which we install and setup so that the door does most of the lifting for you. Chosen in the “elegance” design, which is a nice modern style by Hörmann. The rosewood colour matches the windows and doors on the house too.

We started the job by taking out the old door and carefully removing the timber frame. When we have an empty brickwork opening, we then clean up the bricks of any old sealants and paint. This is so that none of the old sealant shows on the new installation. We can then lift the door into place and start to get it central and level. Hörmann doors come in their own steel frame, which helps to add security to the door, as there are no gaps to tamper with and the locking system is integral to the door and frame.

When we are happy with the position of the door, we can fix it using the sturdy fixings provided. Whilst this is happening, we are then installing the matching rosewood uPVC around the frame on the front of the door. We take great care with our finishing touches, as shown in the close-up photo above.

Hörmann canopy doors are a very popular choice with our customers. They are sturdy, easy to operate and very secure, more locking points can also be ordered as a small extra. They are available in many styles and colours that will suit the features on your home.
