Hörmann elegance garage door, Glossop, Derbyshire

Recently installed for a customer in Glossop, this garage door looks stunning on the house. The door is made by Hörmann and was chosen in anthracite grey (RAL 7016) in a white frame to match the front door.

The style of door is called the "elegance", it is a canopy (manual) door and is one of the newer styles of Hörmann garage doors. It is made from steel and is very durable and secure. As with all of our installations, our first task was to remove the old door which had become harder to use and worn. We also remove any old timber frame and then clean up the stone or brickwork opening of old sealants. All materials are disposed of responsibly and recycled where possible.

When we install any of doors, we always set them up so they are nicely balanced and easy to use. This means that not only is the door easy to use, it is also not putting unnecessary strain on any parts. A manual, canopy door should do most of the lifting itself and open with ease. We also service garage doors, most customers have a yearly service to help keep the door nicely balance and thoroughly cleaned to keep it looking and working like new.

As you can see by the close-up photographs, after fitting the door, we neatly clad around it with white uPVC and seal up in an appropriate colour of sealant, we pay attention to detail with our finishing touches and our customers are very happy with the results when finished. We always leave things nice and tidy too, which we know means a lot to people having work done on their homes.
