Hörmann Rollmatic T in red, Stalybridge

A recently installed automatic roller door for a customer in our local area of Stalybridge, Tameside. Made by Hörmann and chosen in a nice warm red to compliment the front door, they add a nice splash of colour to the house.

As usual, our first task is to safely remove the old door and any timber framework, the Hörmann Rollmatic T comes in its own aluminium frame which is a very sturdy design. The frame is also where the tracks are for the door to run up and down. Our customers are loving the ease of use of these doors and their many quality features.

Unlike an old manual door, an automatic roller door requires no gaps around it on underneath. They have a rubber seal on the bottom of the door that seals nicely to the floor. As well as being insulated, they also feature a safety system that will not let the door crush anything during its operation. If the door touches an obstacle, it will stop and reverse.

There is no kick-out to roller doors either, unlike an up-and-over door, which means you can park a vehicle close to it. Or if you park your car in your garage, you no longer have to get out of the car to open the door, you can simply use one of the two remote controls to operate the door and drive straight in. There is a light on the internal control panel that will also light up when the door is in use and it stays lit for a couple of minutes too.

The Hörmann Rollmatic T also saves space in your garage by not having internal track systems etc. The curtain neatly rolls up above the door. They are a good solution to awkward sizes of openings too. Most doors and openings are standard sizes, meaning you would need to order a custom size of door. With roller doors, they are all supplied to the exact size requirments as standard. We finished the installation off with our usual care and attention, by framing it in matching uPVC and then neatly sealing up the job to the brickwork.
