AlluGuard garage roller door, Glossop

This automatic AlluGuard roller door was recently fitted for a customer in Glossop. We have done lots of installations on the lovely Shirebrook Park estate. This door was chosen in anthracite grey (RAL 7016) to match the windows and door on the house.

This fully automatic roller door replaced a manual door which had become awkward to use. The new roller door is easy to use, with just the press of a button. Our first task is always to safely remove the old door and frame (which get recycled). We can then clean up and prepare the opening ready to install the new door. The AlluGuard roller door comes with its own frame, which is study aluminium and also serves as the tracks/guides for the door to travel in.

Unlike a manual door, roller doors do not require gaps around them. We find that some older doors have quite large gaps underneath, customers really notice the benefits of having a door that doesn't let the elements in. These doors are fully insulated and will help to keep any adjoining rooms warmer, which is a huge benefit for homes where the garage leads into the house, or if there are rooms above.

After installing the door, we also clad around it in matching anthracite uPVC, including the nice little arch above. Many homes on Shirebrook Park have these arches and we have done this to other installations to match the door colour chosen. The door and uPVC are both very UV stable and will not fade of change colour over time.

AlluGuard roller doors are a fantastic product and our customers that have had them installed have been very happy with them. They come with two remote controls, extras are available such as spare remotes or wireless internal push buttons. The doors require a little bit of simple maintenance just to keep them working like new. We can provide an annual service call at very reasonable prices that will keep you door working and looking like new, this also protects the warranty.
