Hormann automatic sectional door in golden oak
This classic looking Hormann sectional door was fitted by our team for a customer in Mossley. The house had new golden oak windows and other features added and this garage door was ordered to match. The style, known as "M-ribbed" is a very clean looking modern design.
We first dismantled and removed the old door and frame. We also removed the timber liners that were covering the stonework at the sides. This was replaced with matching golden oak uPVC (shown in close up picture).
This left us with the stonework opening, after cleaning the stonework of old sealand and paint we could then start to assemble the framework of the door, which is centralised and levelled before any fixing starts. When we are happy with the position, the frame can start to be fixed and further assembled, every care is taken so that the tracks are level and there are no bumps in any joins where rollers pass over. These garage doors should be nice and quiet and it is important to install them so the door runs smoothly.
The panels are one of the last things to be dropped into place and fastened together with hinges. The springs that assist the door are also fitted, then the door is attached to the automatic operating system, where it will run through a programme sequence that weighs the door and tells the operator how much force it needs to use.
Hormann sectional garage doors are high quality products that are built to last. They are insulated, very secure and easy to use and maintain. For more information, please contact us or take a look at the brochure.
