Hormann sectional, Georgian panel. Ashton Under Lyne.
This double size, automatic sectional garage door was fitted for a customer in Ashton Under Lyne, Tameside. A Georgian panel design was chosen, in a rosewood colour to match other features on the house.
The old door was first safely removed, as well as the old garage door remote control system and all of the timber frame around the door. All materials were removed from site and will be disposed of, or recylcled.
Once we had an empty brickwork opening, we could then start to build a new sturdy timber sub-frame for the new door and build the framework of the door itself. The actual garage door panels are fitted towards the end of the installation, as well as the automation system.
Sectional doors have a range of benefits, they are insulated to provide a good weather barrier, especially if your garage leads into your house. They are highly secure, as well as being safe and simple to operate. You can also park your vehicle close to the door, as they open vertically with no "kick out".
As you can see from the close up image, we neatly clad around the door using matching rosewood uPVC trims and also installed a new fascia above the door. The whole job was sealed up in rosewood silicone too.
