This was a recent installation for a customer in the lovely village of Uppermill, Oldham. The job was to replace a pair of manual garage doors that had become awkward to use, the new doors were to be automated to also help with easy access for a mobility scooter.
AlluGuard automatic roller doors were chosen in a rosewood finish to match other features on the house. Roller doors are great at saving space and don’t require guide tracks that take up space in the ceiling space of the garage, the roll simply rolls up above the door. This video shows a demonstration of a roller door.
We started by removing the old blue doors, we then cleaned up and prepared the brickwork opening for the new doors. The framework is fixed in place first, we can then install the roller curtain and start wiring the door to the control box and start to finish the front off with matching uPVC around top (fascia) and sides.
Alluguard roller doors come with two remote controls as standard, plus you can operate the door from the internal control box. They feature a loud, integral alarm that will activate if anyone tampers with the door and conform to “Police Preferred Specification”. They are also insulated, which is a good feature if your garage leads into your house, or if you have rooms above the garage. There is also a safety system that means the door with stop and reverse if the door comes into contact with anything during operation.
This customer can now access the garage entrance much safer and easier, plus it has given their home a nice new look. Automatic doors are a sound investment for people who require easy access to their garage. We are always glad to help and advise when deciding on a new garage door.
